Angela Bawden is an artist from Utah who is known for her unique highly detailed contemporary-realism style paintings.

She has a remarkable ability to create paintings that merge meticulously detailed realistic subjects with richly textured surfaces and contemporary settings.

Her original paintings are lavishly embellished with variations of textures and special finishes that are dimensional and aesthetically profound.

She works with a wide range of media, including oil paint, acrylic paint, inks, plasters, polymers, glass, crystals and gold leafing.  She enjoys the free flowing artistic expression of playing with different mediums and incorporating various distinctive techniques into her work.

She has skillful talent to create aesthetically pleasing and soothing paintings that go well with classic, rustic and modern design equivalently.

Angela grew up in a large artistic family. From her earliest memories, she was creating art. She feels that art is intrinsic to her soul.  Art has always been a part of her world. Her father was a full time professional artist-sculptor who supported the family through his art career. Throughout her childhood, her father always had a home art studio where she would spend much of her time playing with clay and drawing. In school, she would get caught doodling and drawing instead of paying attention to the teacher. She learned many techniques and concepts from her father. During her childhood and young adult years, she helped her father and siblings sculpt many life-sized and larger statues and monuments. She started a mural painting business in 2005. She painted dozens of commissioned murals and custom wall art throughout the following years.

In 2014, Angela started painting her own inspired fine art creations on canvas and panel. Since then, she has developed a unique and distinctive large body of work from countless hours of creating and experimenting in her art studio.

Angela’s extraordinary distinctive style of work has quickly caught the attention of lovers of contemporary realism and abstract art alike.  With her work in high demand she has been able to pursue her passion of creating art full time.

Painting brings her joy and fulfillment. She feels very blessed to be doing what she enjoys and being able to share that joy with others. She feels most alive and at home when she is painting and creating. She believes her creativity is divinely channeled and inspiration comes both from within and the atmosphere around her. She loves receiving divine creative inspiration and manifesting it into the real world with her paint brush! Her dream is that her work can inspire and bring positive emotions to all who view her work. She puts her love and energy into each unique piece that she creates.

When she’s not painting she enjoys crafting and creativity of all sorts. She loves to design and make costumes and props. She is passionate about interior design and she makes home décor and custom designed pieces for decoration. She has an eye for making anything beautiful; such as re-purposing and giving new life to household items and furniture. Her other hobbies include photography, spending time outdoors, anything recreationally adventurous, snowboarding, wake-surfing , dirt bike riding and riding her Harley.

“When I create art, I feel connected to my soul’s intention. When I follow my soul’s intention, I am in line with my purpose and the calling of my higher self.

Creating art connects me to the beauty of life and the planet we live on. I feel a sense of gratitude and appreciation for all creation. I feel purpose in what I do because I am following my soul’s intention.

Through the feelings of connection, creating art heals me. I feel that art not only heals the artist, but it also heals the viewer who connects with the art.

My aspiration when sharing my work with others is that my work may convey the energy of the connection that I experienced when I created it. I want people who view my work to experience positive and uplifting emotion.”

We are all connected.
