Debbie Bzdy - Artist/Painter

Bio
Debbie Bzdyl's artistic journey began at an early age. Her mother would sometimes fondly claim that Debbie was "born with a box of crayons in her hand."

Artist Statement
My fascination with the impermanence of time, evident in the ceaseless transformation of nature, humankind, and the cosmos, fuels my artistic process.
My approach is intuitive, beginning with a spontaneous burst of loose brushstrokes and marks. From there, I let the painting emerge organically, responding to the evolving interplay of colors and textures.
Light and motion, a constant in my work, are achieved through layers of bold strokes applied with brushes and palette knives, followed by strong highlights and glazes to soften some areas. This process creates depth and complexity.
People often tell me my work evokes a sense of serenity or transcendence that speaks to them and draws them in. The true success of my work lies in making an emotional connection that inspires a fresh and exhilarating view of our world.
“Never cease to stand like curious children before the Great Mystery into which we were born.”
- Albert Einstein
